Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd. Launches Ampere Zero-Carbon Emission Innovation Challenge at Ooty Lit Fest to Empower Students in Sustainability
Greaves Electric Mobility Ltd. (GEML), the e-mobility arm of Greaves Cotton Ltd. today announced the launch of the Ampere Zero-Carbon Emission Innovation Challenge at the prestigious Ooty Literature Festival. This pioneering initiative aims to inspire and empower students to develop innovative solutions for environmental conservation, with a special focus on preserving the Nilgiris Biosphere Reserve.
In collaboration with leading boarding schools in the Nilgiris, GEML is inviting students to present sustainability-led projects across five key categories:
Renewable Energy Projects
Waste Management & Recycling Solutions
Water Conservation & Preservation Ideas
Eco-friendly Transportation Alternatives (including electric vehicle promotion)
Environmental Awareness Programs
The student with the most impactful and innovative idea will be named their school’s Ampere Zero-Carbon Ambassador and will receive an Ampere Electric Scooter upon graduation. In addition, they will be encouraged to implement sustainability initiatives at their school each year until they graduate—ensuring a long-term, meaningful environmental impact.

Visitors will gain insights into how sustainable transport solutions can help reduce carbon footprints and preserve the natural beauty of the Nilgiris.
