Greaves Electric Mobility’s newly launched Eltra City XTRA Does the Unbelievable: 324 KM on a Single Charge, Sets New National Record
In a powerful demonstration of engineering excellence and sustainable innovation, Greaves Electric Mobility Limited (GEML) has broken its own record with the Eltra City XTRA, its next-generation electric 3-wheeler passenger vehicle. The upgraded Eltra successfully completed a 324 kilometre ride from Bengaluru, Karnataka to Ranipet, Tamil Nadu on a single charge—establishing a new milestone in the India Book of Records for the longest distance travelled by an electric 3-wheeler on a single charge.
The Freedom Ride 2.0 was flagged off from the Greaves Electric Mobility Tech Center in Bangalore and culminated at the Ampere’s Factory in Ranipet. This symbolic journey celebrated India’s technological self-reliance, clean mobility mission, and the brand’s pursuit of XTRA performance, XTRA safety, and XTRA trust.

Launched earlier this month, the Eltra City XTRA is the next-generation evolution of the record-setting Eltra City, which completed a 225-km ride from Bangalore to Mysore in 2024. Engineered to deliver “Technology Latest, Trust Highest,” the Eltra City XTRA features best-in-class components, a powerful LFP battery, and an intelligent digital interface—designed to deliver higher earnings, lower running costs, and more peace of mind for drivers and fleet owners.
The Eltra City XTRA is engineered to deliver a hassle-free, high-performance electric mobility experience with true peace of mind. With a top speed of 60 kmph and a true range of ~170 km (Driver+3 condition) on a single charge, it ensures dependable daily operations for both city and peri-urban commutes. Designed to handle a payload of up to 330 kg and climb gradients of up to 12°, it offers robust capability where it matters most. The 12” radial tyres enhance ride quality and ground clearance, while the 6.2” PMVA digital cluster with BLE connectivity keeps drivers informed with real-time alerts, navigation, and distance-to-empty indicators. Powered by a peak 9.5 kW motor and a 10.75 kWh IP67-rated LFP battery, the vehicle combines performance with durability. Charging time of 4-5 hrs further adds to convenience. Backed by a 5-year or 1.2 lakhs kilometres battery warranty, 3-year or 80,000 kilometres vehicle warranty, the Eltra City XTRA is built for long-term reliability and a worry-free EV ownership journey.
