As our mission is to deliver Smart, Sustainable, and Affordable EVs, we drew inspiration from the Arctic Tern, the graceful and most enduring bird that makes a migratory round trip of 60,000 miles on average annually – twice the circumference of the Earth!
When it comes to mobility, the Arctic Tern is highly aerodynamic, slender, and with angular wings and a streamlined form, allowing it to move swiftly through varied temperate zones, altitudes, and geographies. The Arctic Tern, interestingly, passes over Kanyakumari, and was thus our key motivation to undertake this massive journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, highlighting everything an electric scooter can do and therefore breaking all myths.
Bringing an Automotive design approach to 2W design, we used the PSD approach. That's Proportions, Surface, and Details!
The side is an aerodynamic body with very distinctive proportions and silhouette. The elongated Arctic tern wings inspire the side body's character lines, and the sill curve kicks up to give the vehicle a very sporty stance and an aerodynamic look.
The front graphic is Inspired by Arctic Tern's wings. The vehicle is glossy black at its core and hugged by the "Arctic Tern Jacket "
The AMPERE logo is strategically placed right in the middle of the focal point and contrasts against a glossy black background.
The Indian approach to sculpture is that of imagination as opposed to the Western approach of realism. With surface treatment, we wanted to bring this sensuality, grace, and dreamlike quality which we often find in Apsara (Celestial Dancer) sculptures at Khajuraho, Chola Bronze, Belur, and many other ancient Indian temple sites.
The celestial dancer from the 12th Century, Khajuraho is one of the most beautiful sculptures coming from India. It has been a big inspiration for us because of its sensuality, grace, and sharp contrast between the dancer's body and sharp jewelry. It pays tribute to the Master sculptors of ancient India.
Diamonds were first discovered and mined in India in the 4th century BC and even today 80% of the world's diamonds are cut and polished here. The Indian diamond has 57 cuts precisely crafted to reflect light most dazzlingly. We take this sharp-cut dazzling diamond design philosophy to inspire our details.
Adding facets and sharpness to technical details makes our vehicles much richer and adds a sharp character.
The front and rear lamp signatures make it stand out in the crowd and make it easily recognizable even from a distance.
